There is currently no Shiny Solosis in Pokémon Go, but that doesn’t mean you should ignore this week’s Spotlight Hour.
This page explains why you should invest some time in catching Solosis during the one-hour period, including the chance to find a 100% perfect IV Solosis, and a preview of shiny Solosis for when they finally arrive in Pokémon Go.
While this Spotlight Hour falls during a quiet period for Pokémon Go, you can still participate in the Go Battle League, the Inheritance Season bonuses, and, if you previously purchased a Go Tour: Johto ticket, the January XP Challenge.

100% perfect Solosis IV in Pokémon Go
If you want a Solosis with perfect IV stats, this week’s Spotlight Hour in Pokémon Go is the perfect opportunity for you.
A Solosis with 100% stats can, after evolving twice, become a Reuniclus, which is a good psychic-type option for Go Battle League and raids. You may also want to simply evolve it for Pokédex entries.
The CP values that correspond to perfect values of 15/15/15 are as follows:
- Level 30 (Max Wild CP) – 1172 CP
- Level 35 (maximum CP boosted by weather) – 1270 CP
It is important to remember that the wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach level 30. The CP values will be different from above if you are currently below level 30, but, since most of the base of players is above At level 30, we stick to the values for simplicity.
Is there a shiny Solosis in Pokémon Go?
There is no Shiny Solosis in Pokémon Go at the time of writing.
Despite this fact, there is a chance that Solosis will be a candidate for Community Day at some point in the future due to his multiple evolutions and his potential to become a strong psychic type. If this is the case, then we can expect the shiny form of him to be released as part of this event and if not, then it could be released during a psychic-themed event.
However, we can give you a preview of what the shiny Solosis will look like thanks to the main Pokémon games.

Other reasons to catch as many Solosis as possible
Although there is currently no chance of finding a shiny Solosis, there are several reasons to participate in this week’s Spotlight:
- This week’s bonus is double candy transfer, and if your Pokémon storage is almost full, then it’s the perfect time to clear it out. The extra candy you earn will help you evolve and power up, including Solosis.
- Since Reuniclus, the final evolution of Solosis, is a good Psychic-type Pokémon, this Featured Hour is the perfect opportunity to stock up on candy. You can use this to power up and evolve your chosen Solosis and transform it into a good contender for Go Battle League.
- Catching a lot of Solosis will contribute to your Psychic-type capture bonus medal, which is very useful if you are close to reaching platinum level.
Spotlight Hour, as its name suggests, also lasts one hour, from 6 to 7 p.m. (local time). Don’t worry if you can’t participate this week, though, because next Tuesday’s week focuses on Diglett and has a double stardust capture bonus.
