It’s finally time for a new map in Call of Duty: Warzone. Here we explain when the Pacific map arrives and how you can play it before.
Caldara is the new Warzone map coming later this year.
Based in the Pacific, the map will launch in the weeks following the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Although the new Warzone map will be free for all players, those who play Vanguard will have 24-hour early access.
Before that, as if the arrival of World War II bunkers and Vanguard weapons wasn’t enough this season, Warzone’s current map, Verdansk, will have several events leading up to the arrival of Caldara.

The new Pacific map offers a different battle royale experience than Verdasnk, with forests, beaches, ruins and even a dormant volcano, as well as AA planes and trucks you can use to explore the island.
In terms of map size, Caldera is “roughly” the same as Verdasnk, with over 200 points of interest to find.
Here’s a look at the layout of Caldara’s map, including the various regions that make up the island, including docks, ruins, mines, a lagoon, an airfield, and a resort:

Activision has said the design is “based on two years of research and listening to the community”, and is made with the same technology and engine as Verdasnk, allowing players to bring in Warzone weapons and skins from previous years.
Until the map arrives, remember that you can get a sneak peek early by finding World War II bunkers and testing out Vanguard weapons in Warzone.
