The Ultra Beasts are a group of extradimensional Pokémon that entered the Pokémon universe during Generation 7.
The first Ultra Beast to appear in Pokémon Go was Nihilego as part of the first Go Fest event in 2022; Meanwhile, Kartana was originally released during Season of Light alongside Kartana in September 2022 as a regional exclusive.

Everything we know about Celesteela
Celesteela made her first appearance in Pokémon Go alongside Kartana during the Season of Light in September 2022, the week of the Test Your Mettle event.
Kartana also joined Celesteela in raids in Pokémon Go during the Season of Light.
In its debut, Celesteela is only available in gyms in the Southern Hemisphere, meaning that if it doesn’t appear locally, you must receive a remote raid invite to fight and try to catch.
As part of Gen 7, Celesteela debuted in Pokémon Sun and Moon, where she could be found during the post-Moon game.
According to the official Pokédex entry, Celesteela is described as “one of the dangerous Ultra Beasts,” with “high energy readings can be detected coming from her two enormous arms.” Furthermore, “although it is alien to this world and a danger here, it is apparently a common organism in the world where she normally lives.” Good to know!.
