Destroying Chrome structures is a new mission in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.
It’s a bit of a complicated challenge, since the task doesn’t specify what counts as a Chrome build in Fortnite. Additionally, there is actually a bit of confusion in the quest description, which means that many players have had difficulty completing it.
Completing this challenge will reward you with 20k XP, which will help you unlock more skins for the Battle Pass.
Please note that this particular challenge can no longer be completed. What’s new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! How to destroy Chrome structures in Fortnite
Chrome structures can usually be found in new Chrome locations on the map. These include, among others, the Shrine of the Herald, the Lustrous Lagoon, and the Shimmering Shrines.

Now the strange part, to complete this mission you will need to use Chrome Splash on buildings before breaking walls, chests and other objects around you. This isn’t specified in the quest, but it appears to be poor writing on the game’s part.
Certain objects that you have chromed will be considered Chrome structures.
You can find Chrome Splash as floor loot and in chests, but we recommend going to the previous landmarks on the east side of the map as they are great places to find and destroy Chrome items, which drop Chrome Splash.
Collect as much Chrome Splash as you can, then head to a non-Chrome building. You may have to travel to another location like Coney Crossroads. Head inside the building and splash everything you see. Now, break everything you can. Chests, walls and barrels count here.

Breaking Chrome structures not working for you?
As we mentioned above, the mission to destroy Chrome frameworks is somewhat confusingly worded at present. What it should say is destroy structures that you It has chrome. If you’re having trouble, head to a multi-story building and splash as much as you can using Chrome Splash.
Once you’ve chromed everything in sight, break the foundation of the building to knock it down. All of this should count towards the mission.
