Genshin Impact 2.8 Banners

There’s a new playable character making his debut in Update 2.8: Shikanoin Heizou, who can be wished upon during the two Phase 1 event banners. The first of these is the Sparkling Steps banner, which features 5-star Klee . The second is the Leaves in the Wind banner, featuring 5-star Kaedehara Kazuha.

Phase 2 marks the end of these 2.8 banners for a replay of Tapestry of Golden Flames, featuring the 5-star character Yoimiya.

All the new and featured 5-star banner characters you can want during update 2.8 are:

  • Shikanoin Heizou (Shining Footsteps and Blades on the Wind Banners – Phase 1): New 4-star Anemo Catalyst character with useful elemental combos, grouping, and AOE (area of effect) damage.
  • Klee (Banner of Sparkling Steps – Phase 1): The 5-star Pyro Catalyst character returns with a focus on dealing elemental DPS (damage per second).
  • Kaedehara Kazuha (Banner of Leaves in the Wind – Phase 1): The returning 5-star Anemo sword wielder is best used in a Sub DPS support role.
  • Yoimiya (Golden Flame Tapestry – Phase 2): Returning 5-star Pyro Archer who is best used in a primary DPS role due to her low elemental energy costs.

In addition to a new free weapon, the Cursed Blade, which can be obtained by playing the new story content, the Epitome Invocation weapon banner will receive a regular update.

As Klee and Kazuha have Banner replenishments during Phase 1, their signature weapons (Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds and Freedom Sworn, respectively) have increased drop rates during Phase 1, which ends on August 2.

On August 2, the Epitome Invocation weapon banner will be updated again for Phase 2. It has not yet been announced what the 5-star featured weapon will be, but when Yoimiya’s banner returns, it is likely that her best weapon (Thundering Pulse ) be presented.

As a reminder, all Phase 1 banners will run for three weeks until August 2, then switch to the Phase 2 banner for three weeks until it concludes on August 23 in preparation for the big 3.0 update and new banners.

Version 4.1 is coming! With it comes the debut of Neuvillette and Wriothesley, but in the meantime, in version 4.0, our Fontaine guide can help you with the reputation of Fontaine and the Fountain of Lucine, and you can also redeem new codes for Primogems if you want Lyney, and check it out in our tier list. To upgrade Lyney, you will need a lot of Rainbow Rose and Lynette requires Lumidouce Bell. You’ll also need luck from the Pity and 50/50 systems to wish the fate of them and future banners, and you’ll always need the correct adventure rank for events. Elsewhere, we have beginner tips and tricks, Dendroculus locations, fishing locations, and TCG card locations.
