Fortnite Chapter 4 estimated release date and Fracture live event start time

Fortnite Chapter 4 is on the horizon and, thanks to some teasers from Epic Games and an upcoming live event to boot, we have an idea of what could be in store.

Throughout the latest season of Fortnite, we’ve seen Chrome slowly consume the island, with this phenomenon seemingly reaching a tipping point as part of the season finale.

This page explains the start time of the Fracture live event and what we could expect as part of the new Chapter.

Please note that this particular challenge can no longer be completed. What’s new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection, and Eren Jaeger skin. It’s a good idea to know how to get XP quickly in Fortnite.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Estimated Release Date

Based on previous years, Fortnite Chapter 4 will likely release on Sunday, December 4.

UPDATE: The release of Fortnite Chapter 4 has now been confirmed today, Sunday, December 4.

Although the end of the first chapter had a long downtime of several days, the transition from Chapter 2 to Chapter 3 was much quicker, so we expect Chapter 4 to be released the day after the live event.

This backs this up with each Chapter 3 season releasing on a Sunday, suggesting that Epic is comfortable releasing new seasons on a weekend and you have to assume they will continue this trend in Chapter 4.

Additionally, Epic has said that players who log into Fortnite before December 4 at 2:45 a.m. ET / 7:45 a.m. UK will receive the Toasty Roast emote. It’s almost 10 hours after the live event (is there another black hole-style waiting screen planned?), which is another possible sign that the new season could launch the next day.

The Toasty Roast emote can be unlocked in the window before and after the live event.

Of course, that’s just our estimate based on previous seasons. Epic has yet to confirm its release date, and since the new chapters introduce significant changes to the game (a new map with new mechanics and features), there will likely be more downtime.

As such, things may appear as late as Sunday night or even Monday.

Fortnite Fracture Live Event Release Time

The Fracture live event on Saturday, December 3 will be the finale of Chapter 3. Fracture start times are as follows:

  • United Kingdom: 9:00 p.m. (GMT)
  • Europe: 10:00 p.m. (CET)
  • US East Coast: 4 pm (ET)
  • US West Coast: 1:00 pm (PT)

As always, this is a “one-time in-game event,” so if you miss it, you’ll have to settle for a YouTube replay.

Please note that Epic Games has recommended players load 30 minutes before the event, but that being said, it is possible to join up to 40 minutes later while it is still in progress.

You can also form a team of four if you want to watch it with friends.

What can we expect from Chapter 4 and the Fracture event?

The end of the Chapter is a landmark event in Fortnite, not only concluding and starting stories, but also introducing welcome new features to the game’s ever-expanding sandbox.

Based on what happened with the arrival of Chapter 2 and Chapter 3, we expect:

  • A new Fortnite map (or it could be this one) maps?)
  • New features (previous additions include swimming, weapon attachments, and a sliding mechanic)
  • Possible engine upgrades or new features (or at least paving the way for them)

Some of them are based on previews and previous seasons, others are our assumptions. Let’s delve into our thinking.

First, wait for a new map. This is practically a given, but this time we may have several available. Our Tom discusses this theory in more detail, but the theme of the live event, Fracture, suggests a “split” of realities of sorts, allowing players to choose between islands, including revamped versions of past islands.

We’re speculating a bit, but it’s not the first time a Battle Royale game has done this, and it will be a good way to accommodate new ideas and those who feel like they haven’t had enough time with the Chapter 3 map. After Everything, it’s only been around for 12 months!

As for what’s new in the game, this is perhaps the biggest unknown. Chapter 3’s slide and accessory additions weren’t as dramatic as Chapter 2’s, and we suspect the same for Chapter 4, but that doesn’t mean Epic has the ability to surprise.

Finally, when it comes to engine updates and features, this is something we’re definitely aware of, specifically, the introduction of the ‘Unreal Editor for Fortnite’ (or UEFN). This will greatly revamp Creative mode, expand its capabilities, and possibly even allow creators to monitor their work, similar to games like Roblox.

This was delayed until January, but Chapter 4 could essentially lay the groundwork for its introduction. How or if this will be integrated into Chapter 4 remains to be seen, but we’ve already seen some points of interest use creative mapping in the past, so we may see a push in that direction again here, along with anything else. wide. Specific plans for creative mode are available.

Sorry friends, the team is working very hard, but the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) has been delayed until the end of January 2023.

Beyond this, there have been a series of cryptic advances thanks to the official twitter account. Many of these are pretty non-specific – characters on the map realizing something is coming towards them, as well as teaser images – but you can check them all out if you want to try and guess what might be coming.

As for the Fracture live event itself, there have already been a number of leaks, from dialogue to assets. We won’t reveal them here, nor will our news report, but be aware of what details there are if you want to start the event over.

Whatever happens, we can expect a long period of downtime and some new features and surprises when Chapter 4 returns. Make sure you finish everything you want from Chapter 3 before it’s gone forever!
