How to Start Request 8 ‘Bothersome Bidoof’ in Pokémon Legends Arceus

The annoying Bidoof is an early game request in Pokémon Legends Arceus and requires a few steps to complete.

First, head to the main gate of Jubilife Village, which is in the upper right corner of the map. There is a red-clad guard to the left of the gate, this is Tsumugi, and after talking to her, he will accidentally let three Bidoof into the village.

Now that you have the quest, you need to have a Bidoof in your party, there are two easy ways to do this.

If you don’t have a Bidoof, exit through the main gate and go to the Fieldlands Camp in Obsidian Fieldlands to catch one.

Walk down the main path and then as you go down the hill there will be some Bidoof wandering around. Once you’ve caught one, you’ll either have it in your party (if you had free slots to begin with), or you’ll have to go and put the Bidoof in your party.

Once you’re back in Jubilife Village, head left over the bridge and into the Village Pastures, talk to Marie, and trade the Bidoof with any of the Pokémon currently in your party.

If you’ve already caught a Bidoof, you don’t need to have gone looking for one, just add the Pokémon to your party as you would if you followed the steps to catch one.

The three Bidoof locations in Jubilife Village

With a Bidoof in your party, it’s time to catch the three causing trouble in the village.

You’ll find all three locations in the image below, with the yellow Poké Balls marking where the Bidoof are. More specific guides are written for each one later.

For the first Bidoof, head towards Galaxy Hall from the main gate, and they will be along the house closest to the Hall, the location is marked on the map below and on a picture. Walk towards the Bidoof, a cutscene will play and Tsumugi will congratulate you, now there are only two left.

The second Bidoof is in the southern part of the village, behind the row of houses on the left. The location has been marked in the images below, with another in-game to help you see exactly where Bidoof is. The Bidoof is next to a fence near the house at the bottom left. It is better to go to the end and then go around the fence; you will see the Bidoof very quickly.

The third and final Bidoof is towards the bottom right corner of the village, at the end of the Village Pastures fence, if you follow the fence down you can easily spot the Pokémon. If you follow the lower path from where the second Bidoof is, you’ll see the third one on the right near a tree. We have marked the location in the images below.

Once you’ve found all three, a short cutscene will play and that will be the end of the mission!

Our Pokémon Legends Arceus walkthrough will help you choose a starter Pokémon and win the Kleavor boss fight. You are also tasked with filling Hisui’s Pokédex by obtaining new evolutions such as Kleavor by evolving into Scyther, Wyrdeer by evolving into Stantler, Sneasler by evolving into Hisui Sneasel, and Overquil by evolving into Hisui Qwilfish. There are a ton of new evolution methods, including some for Eevee evolutions. Take the time to complete Requests too, like The Sea’s Legend, Wurmple’s Evolved! and find Wisp locations. Don’t forget to track all Unown locations as well.

Annoying Bidoof Reward

Once you finish off the Bidoof, you will receive a simple but incredibly useful reward.

For completing the Request, you will receive a Rare Candy, which increases your Pokémon’s level by one.

However, remember that a Rare Candy will place your Pokémon at the beginning of the next level without experience, so don’t use it when a Pokémon has almost leveled up, use it when the experience bar has filled up as little as possible.
