What about other publishers’ gamescom 2022 plans?

For the fifth year in a row (yes, we’ve been counting) there is no dedicated exhibition from PlayStation, a publisher that was once a big supporter of Gamescom in previous console generations.

Nintendo, which also started doing more with gamescom before the pandemic, is also absent. He tends to do his own streams this time of year anyway, and with a Direct recently dedicated to Splatoon 3, don’t expect anything beyond that. (UPDATE: Well, it looks like Nintendo is doing something. Tune in on Thursday for a Treehouse stream!)

Activision and Take-Two will also not participate, but Ubisoft, Bandai Namco and Embracer will be present on the exhibition floor.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, don’t expect much from any publisher at this year’s Gamescom, but hopefully we’ll get one or two interesting reveals anyway.
