Bungie is feeling particularly festive this year: Not only is The Dawning expanding its offerings, but it also has plenty of goodies to hand out to players, from the chance to get a Year 3 Icebreaker to the new Lysander’s Cry Hidden Sparrow.
As with the hidden lost broom sparrow from the Festival of the Lost, you can find it hidden in a corner of the Tower during the event. However, this hidden sparrow requires another step before it can be collected.

How to find the For One Who Stand At Bannerfall ghost
Before you can collect the sparrow, you must get the Lysander’s Scream Ghost. Go to the Bannerfall map in a private match; We recommend the Control match type to facilitate the following instructions.
Head to checkpoint B in the center of the map, look in the direction of spawn C, and go through the doors. You should be in an area with green flags above.
Head to the building on the ground floor of this building.
Here, go to the ground floor of the building on the left (opposite where the Generation C building is). As you enter, you will see some bookshelves on the left.
Go left along these shelves…
Go through and turn left shortly after, and the Ghost will be on the bottom shelf in the corner.
And on the shelf below…
…there’s the Ghost of Bannerfall in the corner.
Destiny Lysander’s Cry Sparrow Hidden Location
Now that you have the Ghost, you can access the Sparrow. The location of Lysander’s Cry Sparrow is in the small area below where the Future War Cult room is located.
Specifically, head to the Tower and go to the hangar section (which is right where you start and through the passage). Next, go up the steps on the right, where Amanda Holliday, SRL Mission Manager and Sparrow Vendor, is located.
You can go up the right steps to the Future War Cult, but instead, go straight ahead.
Instead of continuing up the stairs to the Future War Cult, head into the shadows of this floor and go straight to the corner with the boxes.
Between two boxes with the light right in front of them, you will see a message. It will say “For someone who stood in Bannerfall” if you haven’t gotten the Ghost yet, and if you have it, it will say “Lysander’s Cry”, allowing you to pick it up.

Other Notes on the Lysander Sparrow’s Hidden Cry of Fate
- Unlike the Lost Broom Sparrow in Festival of the Lost, this one does not appear to expire at the end of The Dawning.
- The Sparrow’s description reads: “You reenacted the fall of the Concordat and something responded.”
- Lysander Sparrow’s Hidden Cry has pretty decent stats: the 160 max speed you’d expect from any frontline Sparrow, as well as the usual Boost and Stabilizer buffs.
- Who is Lysander, you ask? We’re not sure, but they seem to be connected to Bannerfall, and we’re sure the story points somewhere…
