Destiny 2 Crimson Days is a Valentine’s Day-themed event that returns to Bungie’s space shooter for the first time since 2016.
The event will feature new themed consumables, a revamped Crimson Days Crucible mode and activity, and specific loot milestones.

Destiny 2 Crimson Days End Date and Features
The Crimson Days start date is Tuesday, February 13, and the start time coincides with the usual weekly reset. It will end at the next weekly reset on Tuesday, February 20.
Crimson Days will feature the following:
- A new Crimson Days Crucible Days 2v2 playlist. Unlike the original game’s playlist, which gave you an advantage if your partner was knocked down, this time your abilities will recharge faster the closer you are to your partner. If you abandon your partner, the opponent will receive a waypoint that will take them to your location.
- The return of Destiny 1’s map, The Burning Shrine, as The Burnout, set in a timeline where the Vex “managed to alter our reality.”
The Burnout is based on The Burning Strike from Destiny 1.
- Crimson Engrams, rewarded for leveling up and a chance for completing Crimson Days Crucible matches. They cannot be purchased with Silver.
- Crimson Days loot, available in Crimson Engrams, specific activity rewards, and purchased directly from Eververse. Drops will not be “doubled”, so you will continue to earn new rewards until the loot table runs out.
- All Crimson Engram loot can also be dismantled for Bright Dust, including Shaders.

Crimson Days Loot, Milestones, and How to Get Crimson Engrams
Crimson Engrams will offer new Shaders, Exotic Skins, Ghosts, Sparrows, Emotes, and Emblems throughout the event, which we first learned about through leaked icons and subsequent confirmation from Bungie.
Here’s a sneak peek of what’s offered in each Crimson Engram:
As mentioned above, there are no “duplicates” of these engrams, so you will continue to earn new rewards until all loot items are used up.
Crimson Engrams will come from the following sources:
- From leveling up (along with the existing Enlightened Engram) for the duration of the event.
- Chance of losing when completing Crimson Days Crucible matches
There are also unique rewards for completing specific activities:
- ‘Fire of Crimson Days’ Emblem (starts the Crimson Days milestone) and ‘Tirastrella’ Ghost Shell (completes five Crimson Days matches to complete the ‘Welcome to Crimson Days’ milestone)
- ‘Undeterred’ Exotic Sparrow (Complete Crimson Days matches for a chance to drop)
- Exotic ‘Dieselpunk’ ornament for Wardcliff Coil (completing a Raid activity)
- Emote ‘Flaunting Dance’ (completing a Nightfall Strike)
So whether you’re focused on the Crimson Days playlist, returning each week for end-game activities, or simply leveling up any activity, you’ll get something from Crimson Days, which already sounds better than the last event of the original Destiny.
