Call of Duty Vanguard zombies best builds explained

Opting for the best builds in Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies is key to surviving.

While it’s not a bad strategy to simply pick any of the available covenants and mix them up, it’s definitely worth looking for possible synergies to maximize the effects.

In our experience, these are the best builds for Vanguard Zombies, looking at covenants, preferred weapons, and which perks are best suited for each build.

Vanguard Zombies: Sniper Build

If you always go for DPS-like builds in other games, this may be a good option for you.

  • Pacts: Deathblow (any rarity), Ammo Gremlin (any rarity), Bloodlust (any rarity, preferred legendary)
  • Advantages: Demonic Frenzy, Demonic Damage
  • Preferable weapon: Shotguns, sniper rifles.

This build is perfect for those who always aim for the head. Every time you perform a critical kill while using Death Blow, you will get a bullet in your magazine. If you run into the legendary variant of the covenant, you will get two bullets per magazine.

To do this, Ammo Gremlin mixes well so that your stored weapons are always ready for action. If all else fails, Bloodlust will heal you by performing melee attacks, as well as increasing its damage.

Considering you’ll be quite exposed at close range with weapons like shotguns or sniper rifles, Bloodlust is a great plan B. Weapon preference comes down to the fact that it’s easier to headshot using these weapons than others. Snipers are also an option, so we recommend swapping Ammo Grenlin or Bloodlust for Unholy Ground. But staying stationary in Zombies is rarely an option, which is why we don’t mention it.

Lastly, buffs like Demonic Frenzy and Diabolical Damage are a must in terms of priorities, so you can reload faster and deal more critical damage. Headshots aren’t everything, so it’s definitely worth maximizing damage whenever possible.

Vanguard Zombies – Guardian Angel Build

If you always go for Medic-type builds in other games, this one comes pretty close to a healer in Vanguard.

  • Pacts: Resurrectionist (any rarity), Cryofreeze (any rarity), Bloodlust (any rarity)
  • Advantages: Fiendish Fortitude, Ethereal Haste, Poisonous Vigor
  • Preferable weapon: SMG, shotguns.

It’s not possible to get a medic type build in Vanguard Zombies, but this one comes pretty close. We’ll use Resurrectionist as a base, which speeds up the time it takes to revive a fellow player. This, by default, is pretty low, so it’s key that at least someone in your squad takes care of this.

Of course, enemies will try to take you down anyway. Cryofreeze is great for slowing them down; You can combine this with Cull the Weak to increase your damage, but for this build, it’s best to just slow them down and let another squadmate use Cull the Weak instead.

It’s important that you stay alive as much as possible, which is why we mention Bloodlust again as a possibility, as it will heal you with melee attacks, great for defeating enemies that aren’t frozen by Cryofreeze while you regain health on the spot. . Same time.

Speaking of staying alive, Fiendish Fortitude is a must for increasing your base HP (also buy some armor at the crafting table). Then, prioritizing Ethereal Haste to reach fallen teammates faster and Poisonous Vigor to increase your own regeneration speed are great options.

Lastly, we’ll look at light and agile weapons for this one. If you combine an SMG or shotgun with a melee weapon for Bloodlust, even better. This may be a more suitable build for the mid- to late-game, when things start to get tricky.

If you’re interested in multiplayer, we have lists of multiplayer operators and maps, as well as the best Vanguard weapons, including the best STG44 loadout, the best MP40 loadout, and the best Automaton loadout, the best BAR loadout, the best combat shotgun loadout, best Type 100 Loadout and best Kar98k loadouts. In other ways, we can explain the best zombie builds and the best pacts.

Vanguard Zombies – Necromancer Build

If you prefer to mix things up and try out some of the more notable covenants, this build offers plenty to experiment with.

  • Covenants: Brain Rot (Epic or Legendary), Dead Accurate (any rarity), Splatterfest (any rarity)
  • Advantages: Demonic Frenzy, Demonic Damage
  • Preferable weapon: assault rifles, SMG, LMG

Consider this the most experimental version of the bunch. Brain Rot gives you the opportunity to turn an enemy to your side; this makes them friendly for a fairly short period of time where they will basically hit normal enemies with a single hit and deal significant damage to larger ones.

The downside is that the chance is quite low and none of the higher upgrades increase it. That said, epic rarity allows this to happen with any zombie, including special ones. The legendary rarity, on the other hand, also adds that enemies killed by an explosion will also become nearby zombies. This is huge, so Splatterfest is a must.

Dead Accurate, which increases damage if you shoot successive shots at the same enemy, helps close that waiting gap. For this, rapid-fire weapons such as assault rifles, SMG or LMG are best, since we will want to be attacking and killing as many zombies as possible until one of them is converted. If we opt for a shotgun, for example, the process becomes much slower.

Lastly, it’s definitely worth prioritizing buffs like Demonic Frenzy and Diabolical Damage to increase critical damage and reload speed respectively. Again, this necromancer build is more fun than overpowered, but it can be quite interesting to experiment with mid- to late-game.
