Like seasonal materials such as snowflakes and cherry blossom petals, these feathers can easily get caught in the net. Simply run around your island, listening for the wobbling sound that indicates a feather is nearby, and then swoop it in with your net.
These feathers are a little more durable than seasonal materials, so don’t worry if you fail a few times, because the feather won’t disappear.
If you’re having trouble finding a specific feather color, take the time to chat with your villagers. They also hunt feathers and will be happy to trade them.
When you talk to a villager, they will tell you what color feather they are looking for and what color you will receive.
Since feathers are stacked in groups of three, you can only trade a maximum of three feathers at a time and, it’s important to note, that you will always trade the maximum number of feathers from any stack you select.
This means that if you only want to trade one red feather, for example, but you only have a stack of three, you’ll want to capture an additional red feather before making the trade.
Rainbow Feather for Festivale in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Explained
Rainbow feathers are the hardest to find during the Festivale in New Horizons.
You may be able to find them floating around your island like the other colored feathers, but since this is rare, it is not a reliable source of rainbow feathers. It’s much easier to create rainbow feathers using the homemade recipe Pavé gave you.
To create a rainbow feather, you need one of the feather colors: blue, green, purple and red.
These can be easily collected with your network or by trading with villagers. Once you have one of each color, simply head to the nearest DIY workbench and get it done.

If you want to earn the Festivale Float during the Festivale in New Horizons, you need to start collecting feathers.
To win the Festivale float, you must first receive one of each Festivale item from Pavé. This can be done by exchanging nine rainbow feathers or nine sets of tri-color feathers.

If you want to ensure you are dressed to impress for the Festivale, we recommend purchasing your chosen outfit in advance. This is because the clothing listed above is part of Able Sisters’ rotating stock, meaning there is no guarantee that these items will be available every day.
Fortunately, however, Festivale clothing items are guaranteed to be on sale during the event.
Viva Festivale Reaction Stage Explained in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
From February 1 to February 15, you can purchase the Viva Festivale reaction set at Nook’s Cranny in New Horizons.
The Viva Festivale reaction set costs 19,800 bells and can only be purchased once by each playable villager.
Once you’ve brought the reaction set, you’ll automatically unlock four Festivale-themed reactions: Confetti, Feelin’ It, Let’s Go, and Viva.
These reactions will really help you get into the Festivale mood and will remain unlocked once the event passes. Just remember: you only buy them between February 1 and 15.

Festival date and time in Animal Crossing: New Horizons explained
Festivale in New Horizons will always take place on February 15 each year.
In 2021, Festivale will take place on Monday, February 15, and will last all day, meaning Pavé will be on his island until 5 a.m. on the 16th, which is the daily reset time in New Horizons.
