In Yooka-Laylee, Play Coin locations are important collectibles if you want to play the many Retrox arcade machines scattered throughout the game.
By finding the coin, you can play mini-games that can give you two Pagies upon completing the game and beating a specific score.
Yooka-Laylee Play Coin and Retrox Arcade Locations
Tribalstack Tropics Play Coin Location
First, you need to find Play Coin for the Retrox arcade machine. It’s located in a small cave inside the race track you would have raced through in the Nimble the Cloud races.
Head to the racetrack section on the opposite side of the area to the world’s entrance, and then look for the part with a mound on one side, some ledges above it, and a small cave on the other.
The Play Coin is on the back.
Then, climb up the platforms sticking out of the mound and you’ll see the large neon pink arcade machine. Talk to the Retrox dinosaur there and get on the machine to play. You will have to travel the mini-game race track in 5 minutes to get the reward of a Pagie.
Do it again, but this time beat the high score of 2 minutes and 30 seconds to unlock a second Pagie!
Glitterglaze Glacier Play Coin Location
Head to the Icimetric Palace of the Extended World at the top of the tallest tower. Inside, go right, go under the spiked ceiling to the other end, and take the path up. You will appear in a room with Rextro.
Go to the far corner and smash the rubble to find a secret passage to another room filled with Play Coins. Only one is real, which is easily detected because it rotates in the opposite direction (it’s on the top right, only on the second row of the wall).
Moodymaze Marsh Play Coin Location
Find the river with several logs running across it and cross it, jumping over the logs as you go. Play Coin and Blue Ghost Heidee are on one side, and the Retrox arcade machine is visible in the distance on the other.
Once you’ve crossed that flowing river, you’ll need to complete a task to earn a Pagie before you can reach the machine. Doing so will turn the harmful swamp into swimmable water.
To do so, talk to the nearby Trolley, pull the block behind the nearby grate to the button in front of it using Lizard Lash, and then jump to the buttons on the platforms over the water before time runs out to get Pagie . which also opens the way to continue cleaning the water. This is where the Games Room is.
As for Play Coin, in the area that requires you to use your Lizard Lash ability, jump between platforms to find a Pagie in a Cagie in the trees, which also houses the blue ghostwriter Heidee.
Instead of heading to Pagie, reach the second platform with Lizard Lash and turn to face the opposite direction. You’ll see a high platform that you can use Lizard Lash again, and the Play Coin at the top.

Location of Capital Cashino Play Coin
As soon as you enter, turn right and run to the end of the hallway, where the arcade machine is on the right. Next door is a slot machine.
Twist the arm with your tongue and then hit the buttons when the Yooka Laylee symbol appears. It’s easier if you look at the symbol that appears in front of you and then tap when it’s visible. You will receive the Play Coin as a reward.
Galleon Galaxy Play Coin Location
From the lighthouse, turn left to look at Mollycool. Across the water in the distance is an island, where both the arcade machine and Play Coin are located. If you fly over, the arcade machine is on the right.
Continue flying, and at the top of the tall, thin mountain on the far edge, is Play Coin.
