Stardew Valley closes out the year with the Winter Star Party.
This festival was clearly inspired by Christmas (it’s hard to miss the Christmas tree in the middle of Pelican Town Plaza) and involves a secret gift-giving activity.
Like the Luau on hot summer days and the Flower Ball, the Winter Star Festival gives you the opportunity to befriend a specific citizen in Pelican Town. The problem is that this villager is selected randomly.

- Return to the Farm at – 10pm
One of the main objectives in Stardew Valley is to complete the Community Center packs or, if you’re corporate-minded, you can purchase a JojaMart membership. Fishing is a great way to make money in Stardew Valley, especially if you decide to use ponds and crab traps. Throughout the year, you’ll also be able to attend a variety of festivals, including the Egg Festival, Stardew Valley Fair, and the Night Market.
Secret Gift Delivery in Stardew Valley Explained
Secret gift giving in Stardew Valley works both ways; You have the opportunity to give someone a gift and you will receive one in return.
One week before the festival, on Winter 18, you will receive a letter in the mail from Lewis containing the name of the villager for whom you will find a gift at this year’s Winter Star Festival festival.
You will receive a letter telling you which villager you are purchasing the gift for.
Whatever you decide to give to the chosen villager will be worth five times the normal amount of friendship points. Thanks to this, it’s always worth giving your chosen villager something they might like, even if it’s a neutral-level gift.
Once you’ve given your gift, you’ll receive one of your own from a randomly selected villager.
