Pokémon Go A Drive to Investigate quest steps, rewards and ticket price explained

A Drive to Investigate is the second paid event for the Pokémon Go game.

Like the game’s previous paid event, A Colossal Discovery, A Drive to Investigate focuses on a specific mythical Pokémon.

For A Drive to Investigate, this Mythical Pokémon is Genesect, which is a Bug and Steel-type Pokémon. After this event, you will be able to fight Genesect in EX Raids.

How the Genesect event works ‘A push to research in Pokémon Go, Genesect event date and time explained

‘A Drive to Investigate’ is the second paid in-game event to occur in Pokémon Go. Following in the footsteps of ‘A Colossal Discovery’, this event will have no set location and will be available to all Pokémon Go players around the world.

Pokémon Go’s ‘A Journey to Investigate’ will begin on Friday, March 20 at 8 am in your local time zone and will end on Thursday, March 26 at 10 pm in your local time zone.

To participate in this event you must purchase a ticket before or at any time during the event.

If you decide to purchase a ticket before the event launches, a special limited-time research mission, “A Push to Research”, will be available from Friday, March 20 onwards.

If you purchase a ticket while the event is in progress, this special research mission will be available shortly after your transaction.

‘A Drive to Investigate’ will function similarly to the special research questlines released for Mythical Pokémon like Jirachi and the game’s previous paid event, ‘A Colossal Discovery’.

The story will be divided into several steps, each of which will contain three individual challenges that you must complete. You will be rewarded for each individual challenge and step you complete.

Once you’ve reached the end of the special research tasks, you’ll have the chance to catch Genesect, the Paleozoic Pokémon.

If you are unable to complete ‘A Journey to Investigate’ during the event period, you will still be able to complete it after March 26.

The only restriction is that you must complete the special research task before the event ends on Thursday, March 26.

To do this, all you need to do is purchase a ticket and then activate Pokémon Go during this event, which will ensure that ‘A Drive to Investigate’ is added to your Special Research collection.
