The maiden voyage of the cruise

As part of the maiden voyage, the cruise will visit 50 major tourist destinations. These will include the Sundarbans delta, Kaziranga National Park and Varanasi’s popular Ganga Aarti. The cruise ship is expected to travel; about 1,100 kilometers.

The longest river cruise will be operated by a private operator.

“Due to the government’s increased focus on the development and maintenance of inland waterways, we have undertaken several projects to increase depth, establish navigation facilities and jetties necessary for the successful operation of passenger and cargo ships,” said a senior official. official of the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI).
