Destiny 2 Mida Multi-Tool quest: How to get the Mida Mini-Tool and Destiny 2 Mida Multi-Tool scout rifle

The Mida Multi-Tool was a fan-favorite scout rifle from the original Destiny, so it’s a pleasure to see it return for the sequel.

The Destiny 2 Mida multi-tool is very similar to the original. It’s an exotic scout rifle with perks that increase movement speed and keep radar visible while you aim.

However, while the original was a random drop or purchase from a vendor, Destiny 2 asks you to complete a questline before you can unlock it, although we hope that for many players of the original, the work will be worth it.

If you’re interested in other elusive weapons and armor, check out our list of Destiny 2 Exotics to find out what else is available and how to unlock them.

It’s also worth noting that doing this quest is one of the few ways to help you reach Destiny 2’s max level cap, as it increases with whatever level you’re currently at. The link above explains more, but the longer you wait to do the mission, the higher the weapon level will be.

How to Get the Destiny 2 Mida Multi-Tool

As with certain exotic weapons from the first game, unlocking the Mida multi-tool requires a series of specific steps. In summary, they are:

  1. Complete the main story and all subsequent EDZ story missions.
  2. Obtain the Mida Mini Tool from Devrim Kay as a quest reward
  3. With a scout rifle, get 50 precision kills and 25 kills without reloading.
  4. Dismantle five blue or legendary scout rifles.
  5. Get 50 mid-air kills with an SMG.

Thanks to Arekkz and DrewskyStomp for filling in the blanks in the steps above.

Getting the Destiny 2 Measure multi-tool quest step by step

It’s worth noting that there are some spoilers for the endgame below, so read on at your own risk.

First you need to get the Mida Mini Tool, which is a legendary submachine gun given to you by Devrim Kay. To do this, you must complete the story and reach level 20, then play all the additional EDZ story missions that appear.

After finishing Upgrade, Devrim Kay should give you the Mida mini-tool as a reward in the EDZ.

Mida multi-tool from the original Destiny. It looks very similar in the sequel.

Next, head to the Tower and visit the gunsmith, Banshee-44, who will give you the quest See, Shoot, Repeat. This has two steps.

  • Objective 1: Eliminate enemies with precision shots (50 total)
  • Objective 2: Eliminate multiple enemies without reloading (25 total)

Please note that the above must be done with a scout rifle. Any will do. The above isn’t worth doing during any other activity, so feel free to build it up gradually while doing other things.

When both objectives have been completed, return to Banshee-44, who will give you the Under the Hood quest step. This requires you to dismantle five blue (rare) or purple (legendary) scout rifles.

Naturally, you should see these drop as you play; Otherwise, if you are reading this before doing the quest, deposit them in your Vault so you can complete this step as easily as possible.

The Season of the Depths is here along with the Into the Depths quest. You can also know how to go fishing! Don’t forget to keep an eye on the Lost Sector and King’s Fall challenge rotation schedule!

Visit Banshee-44 again and he will give you the final step of The Fall Will Kill You quest, which requires you to get 50 airborne SMG kills. This means that you must be in the air when the enemy you are shooting dies. Like the View, Shoot, Repeat step, this can be done during other activities, so feel free to work on it while doing other things.

Once you’ve done this, return to Banshee-44 one last time, who will give you the Mida Multi-Tool.

Then the Mida multi-tool is yours. Like the original Destiny, it’s an accurate and fast scout rifle with perks that increase movement speed and keep radar visible while you aim down sights, making it a valuable asset in both regular and match play. from Crucible. Enjoy using it!
