Plunder Mode for Call of Duty: Warzone Explained: How to Earn Plunder

Plunder mode is a version of the Battle Royale mode that tasks your team with collecting as much in-game currency as possible, rather than simply surviving to the end.

When you die, you’ll respawn, rather than going to the Gulag or being eliminated entirely, and there’s no gas circle to change the play area. You have the entire map to work with.

To win a game of Plunder, you must emerge victorious at the end of the Bonus Round period. This is triggered when any team raises a total of $1 million, held or deposited, which you can see in-game on the tracker at the bottom right of your screen.

When the bonus round begins, you have until the timer reaches zero to rise above that team, either by reducing the amount of money they have (killing them) or by winning even more. The team with the most cash at the end of the bonus round wins.

Explanation of where to find cash in Call of Duty: Warzone’s Plunder mode

There are several ways to find cash in Call of Duty: Warzone’s Loot mode.

The main way is to find cash in the supply boxes scattered around the Warzone map. To do this, simply scan the map and keep your ears open for the low hum that indicates you are near a supply crate.

You can also find lots of cash hidden in various buildings using this method.

Completing bounties (the game’s mini-quests that you can collect from the shiny, golden-yellow items in the game) will also reward you with a hefty cash prize, adding to your total.

However, killing other players is the way you can really make a lot of money.

Every time you kill another player, they will drop all the cash they had. This means that you can collect a lot of cash very quickly if you and your squad are skilled enough.

The three players carrying the most cash will also be visible on your tactical map; the second and third will be symbolized by a red bag of money, while the player with the most money will be marked with a red crown.

Simply open your Tac map and you’ll have an idea of where these three players are.

Hunting down and killing one of these players could be the action that wins you the game of Plunder. However, it is also a very dangerous tactic, because not only will the players you are hunting be quite skilled, but other squads will use the same tactics.

Finally, the most money can be earned by shooting down attack helicopters (the black helicopters that appear in the sky during the bonus round), which will net you huge sums of money, but comes with a huge risk, of course, that The helicopters could take you out first. Plus, they’re only available in that bonus round, so they’re not something to rely on!

How to deposit cash in Plunder mode for Call of Duty: Warzone explained

There are two ways to deposit your hard-earned cash into Call of Duty: Warzone’s Plunder mode.

The first is by using Cash Deposit Balloons, which you can find by opening Supply Crates.

When you deploy the balloon, you will have 18 seconds to deposit as much money as you can.

Cash Deposit Balloons can only carry $150,000 total and you must deposit your cash in increments of $25,000. If you carry less than £25,000, you’ll simply deposit all the remaining cash.

The second way to deposit your cash is through the cash deposit helipad. This is unlocked once your team reaches a total of $300,000 and will appear as a piggy bank icon on your map. There is no limit to the amount of money you can deposit at the helipads, but they appear for all squads that can deposit money there, so expect to fight for them.

Finally, if someone reaches a total of $1 million (either deposited, currently in possession, or both added together), that million is automatically deposited without you having to do anything.
