Call of Duty Warzone Contraband Contracts Explained

Contraband Contracts are a special type of contract that was introduced to Warzone at the beginning of Season 4.

This new type of contract offers you the opportunity to earn a variety of permanent blueprints for your weapons collection by delivering contraband to specific drop locations.

However, you must first find some contraband to deliver, and even when you find it, the challenge is not over.

If another player kills you while you are carrying contraband, they will have the opportunity to steal it from your corpse and complete the contract themselves, stealing the blueprint from your dead hands.

How to find contraband contracts in Call of Duty Warzone

Contraband contracts appear randomly after you have completed a contract in Warzone. This means that the main method of finding one is to complete as many contracts as possible.

There are three different types of contracts in Warzone: Bounty, Recon and Scavenger, and you can find contracts by opening your Tac map. Each contract has its own icon on the map, allowing you to quickly discover which ones are nearby.

We recommend focusing on the Recon and Scavenger bounties, because they will hopefully keep you away from other players and allow you to quickly complete as many bounties as possible.

Use the map to quickly locate contracts.

It’s important to note that you can only have one active contract per squad, which must be completed or allowed to expire before you can start a new one. For this reason, it is a good idea to work effectively as a team, keeping an eye on enemy squads, for example, to maximize your chances of finding contraband.

Continue to successfully complete contracts and eventually a blue box will appear among the loot you will receive for completing a contract.

There is a chance that contraband will appear among the loot you receive when completing a contract.

This is your contraband; Pick it up and make sure you deliver it quickly.

However, there is another way to find contraband and that is by killing the player carrying it. If you accomplish this, you will be able to collect the contraband and complete the contract yourself.

This makes carrying contraband similar to carrying red access cards to hidden bunkers on the map.

The easiest way to use this method is to keep a close eye on your surroundings, and if you see red smoke from a contraband drop-off point, carefully head towards it.

If you get there in time, you’ll have a chance to kill the player carrying the contraband and be able to deliver it quickly, hopefully before someone else shows up.

How to complete smuggling contracts in Call of Duty Warzone

Once you’ve collected some contraband in Warzone, you need to deliver it as quickly as possible because if you get killed, another player will be able to complete the contract and steal your reward.

With the contraband in hand, a new marker will appear on your map, highlighting the drop-off point for your contraband. You can also find this location on your Tac map.

With contraband in hand, carefully move across the map.

When you reach this location, head to the area highlighted by the white light. It’s a good idea to take cover after doing this, because you will have dropped a red smoke flare, which could alert players to your location.

After a short wait, a bag will be dropped from a choppa, much like you can deposit money into Plunder, which is where you should deposit your contraband.

If you do it successfully, you will be rewarded with a blueprint!
